CASHCAT: what Robinhood Chain's first breakout token actually shows

The Editor·8 min read·Updated 31 Aug 2026

The CASHCAT Robinhood Chain story with the dates attached: the rise, the 33% Noxa drawdown, and what survivorship bias hides. A case study, not advice.

CASHCAT (Cash Cat) is the memecoin that made Robinhood Chain's launch market visible to people outside it. CoinDesk reported it up 2,158% over seven days to a $156M market cap on 13 July 2026; its peak was $226M; on 31 August 2026 it sat at $0.2119 and $209.2M, still the chain's largest memecoin after eight weeks. This is a case study, not a suggestion to buy it.

What happened, in order

The chain went live on 1 July 2026. CASHCAT was not the first token deployed on it, but it was the first one that people outside the chain heard about, and the sequence matters more than any single percentage.

Two clarifications on 8 July, because both get misreported. pump.fun added trading and routing for Robinhood Chain tokens — cross-chain buying without bridging. It did not add launching. You cannot create a Robinhood Chain token on pump.fun, and anything telling you otherwise is wrong. And the listing did not create CASHCAT; it connected an existing token to the largest retail memecoin audience in crypto, which is a different thing and a more repeatable one.

The durable part is eight weeks, not 2,158%

A 2,158% week is common enough in memecoins that it carries almost no information. Tokens do that and then round-trip inside a fortnight. What is genuinely unusual about CASHCAT is the second half: it held the top slot in its category for eight consecutive weeks, through the collapse of the venue most of the chain's tokens launched on.

Scale that against the category it sits in. CoinGecko's "Robinhood Chain Meme" category on 31 August 2026 held 199 coins with $520.3M of combined market capitalisation and $96.8M of 24-hour volume. CASHCAT's $209.2M is roughly two-fifths of that total on its own. The next names down — pipedog at $39.1M, Thinking Cat (HMM) at $31.6M, TENDIES at $22.8M — are an order of magnitude smaller. A fourth token, ticker Degen at $36.9M, shares its ticker with an established Base token; if you go looking for it, check the contract address rather than the symbol.

Concentration like that is a description of the market, not an endorsement of the leader. It tells you the chain's memecoin market has one anchor and a long, thin tail, which is exactly the shape you would expect eight weeks into a chain's life.

Why the $838 wallet is the least useful fact in the story

One wallet turned $838 into more than $1M on CASHCAT — roughly 1,253×. It is the fact that travels furthest and teaches least.

The reason is survivorship bias, and the cleanest illustration comes from the venue that has run this experiment longest. As of 10 June 2026, pump.fun had recorded 11.9 million cumulative launches since January 2024. Of those, 96 tokens had ever exceeded a $1M market cap and 18 had ever exceeded $10M. Every retold 1,000× story is drawn from that 18. The other 11.9 million produce no stories at all, because nothing happened in them worth retelling.

Graduation data points the same way. A study of 832,941 Solana mints between 8 May and 10 June 2026 measured a pooled graduation rate of 0.198%, and its author was explicit that this is a lower bound measured in a roughly six-minute post-launch window rather than a true 24-hour rate. Other credible estimates run higher — around 1.15% in February 2026, "fewer than 2%" in June 2026 — and the honest reading is that the defensible range sits somewhere between 0.5% and 2% depending on the measurement window. The dispersion is a definitional problem, which is why we treat any single point estimate quoted without a window as close to meaningless. We go through that in detail in why so few memecoins graduate.

The point for a reader looking at CASHCAT is narrow: you are looking at the output of a filter, not at a representative sample. The correct comparison for the $838 wallet is not other CASHCAT wallets. It is every wallet that made the same size bet on one of the other several hundred thousand tokens deployed on this chain, almost none of which you will ever hear about.

What CASHCAT did to the chain

CASHCAT is credited with drawing 267,642 unique wallets to Robinhood Chain, a figure current as of 31 August 2026. It sits inside a period of chain-wide growth that was extraordinary by any measure: on 11 July 2026 Robinhood Chain overtook Base on daily active users, 314,843 to 283,938, and on 12 July it recorded a single-day DEX volume record of $878M.

We would not claim one token caused all of that. Attention on a chain is reflexive — a breakout token pulls wallets, more wallets make the next breakout more likely, and the causality runs both ways. What is measurable is composition. In the week ending 27 July 2026, CoinGecko put memecoins at 79.2% of Robinhood Chain trading volume, against 11.1% for base pairs and 9.69% for real-world assets. A chain marketed as infrastructure for tokenised equities was, in practice, running four-fifths memecoin flow. If you want the fuller picture of how that happened, start with what Robinhood Chain is and why it turned into a memecoin chain.

The Noxa drawdown: venue risk shows up in the price

CASHCAT fell 33% in 24 hours when Noxa.fun went dark on 13 July 2026. It had not changed. Its contract, its supply and its holders were the same on 14 July as on 12 July. What changed was the venue most of the chain's launch activity ran through, and the market repriced everything associated with it.

This is the most practical lesson in the whole story, and it generalises past this chain: on a young network, the platform your token depends on is part of your risk, whether or not that dependency is visible from the token's chart. What happened to Noxa covers the sequence and what remains unresolved about it.

What this doesn't tell you

This article is not a recommendation, and nothing in it should be read as one. Meme Central does not recommend tokens. CASHCAT appears here because its history is unusually well documented and unusually instructive, not because we have a view on what it is worth.

It also contains no forecast. Eight weeks of holding a top slot is a description of the past. Memecoin leadership turns over quickly and we make no claim about whether this one persists.

We have not audited CASHCAT's holder distribution, contract or liquidity for this article, and you should not treat inclusion here as a safety signal. Size is not safety: one CASHCAT holder lost $56,000 to a malicious contract on this chain, and holding a large, liquid token does nothing to protect you from a bad approval signed in a separate transaction.

Finally, the market-cap and volume figures above are point-in-time readings from 31 August 2026. Anything you are reading here more than a few days later should be checked against current data — our per-venue launch and volume analytics refresh continuously, and Locksley's daily Robinhood Chain briefings and token screener track the chain specifically.

Frequently asked questions

What is CASHCAT?

CASHCAT (Cash Cat) is a memecoin on Robinhood Chain and, as of 31 August 2026, the largest by market capitalisation in CoinGecko's Robinhood Chain Meme category at $209.2M. It rose to prominence in July 2026 after pump.fun added cross-chain trading for Robinhood Chain tokens. It has no product, no revenue and no claim on anything.

Did CASHCAT launch on pump.fun?

No. On 8 July 2026 pump.fun added trading and routing for Robinhood Chain tokens inside its app, letting users buy them without bridging. It did not add token creation for the chain. You cannot launch a Robinhood Chain token on pump.fun, and sites claiming you can are unreliable on more than that point.

Why did CASHCAT fall 33% in July 2026?

It fell in the 24 hours around Noxa.fun going dark on 13 July 2026. Noxa was the launchpad behind roughly three-quarters of the chain's deployments at the time. The token itself did not change; the market repriced exposure to the venue and the chain activity built around it.

Is CASHCAT a good investment?

We will not answer that, and you should distrust anyone who does. Memecoins have no cash flows to value and most lose most of their value. This article documents what happened and why the sample you are shown is filtered. What you do with your money is your decision, ideally made with money you can afford to lose entirely.

Check the lock before you trust the chart

The single most repeated mistake behind stories like this one is buying the chart and skipping the plumbing. Team Finance's liquidity locking — built by TrustSwap, which also builds Meme Central — locks LP tokens for a fixed term on Ethereum, Robinhood Chain, Polygon, Base and BNB, and a live lock surfaces as a verified badge on that token's page in the Meme Central launch feed. It does not stop a creator selling their own allocation, it says nothing about holder concentration, and it would not have protected anyone from the $56,000 approval loss described above.

Nothing here is financial, legal or tax advice. Memecoins are extremely high-risk: most lose most of their value, and the majority of tokens launched never reach a decentralised exchange at all. Never spend money you cannot afford to lose entirely. Meme Central does not recommend any specific token. Data described as Meme Central's own reflects tokens indexed by Meme Central and is not whole-market data.

Not financial advice. Memecoins are extremely high risk.
